The Training Centre for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief of the Republic of Slovenia
in Ig near Ljubljana provides education and training programs for units, services and individuals participating in
the protection, rescue and relief system. A part of fire-fighter training takes place at the Centre's training unit,
based in Sežana. The Training centre is responsible for the development and evaluation of training programs and prepares
training materials. In addition, it organizes training within international organizations (NATO, UN) and the Stability
Pact for South Eastern Europe. It provides professional publishing support for the Ujma national magazine, which addresses
issues on disaster management.
